It probably wouldn't be too hard. Maybe check out the DHTML & Javascript cookbook from oreilly (look under must-own programming books in the sidebar to the right) and see if they have a few recipes that might help.

How easy would it be to create a javascript so that the new picture was shown every day in a java applet on a website? What would be involved?

Actually I managed to get it working, a reboot of the system seemed to help things along.

So you can probably ignore my comments now.

Hi I'm not sure what's wrong but I can't start the servers when I change the apache port to 80 and mysql to 3306 (step 7).

Any ideas?

I had installed xampp previously so could that be affecting it? I've removed the xampp installation by doing rm -rf /Applications/xampp, is there anything else I need to do?

I've also checked the web sharing and that's turned off.

A. I get plenty of spam in my Gmail
B. I don't get much spam in my email hosted by my hosting company.
C. Who do you call when you need help or something is not working. I have had 2 Google products break on me this week alone, and no one to call/email.
D. Point: results may vary.

There are of course other ways in which to recover data lost in this way, they are not always as simple as the consulting google, but google is an absolutely fantastic source, and one I must say I hadn't considered using myself when I had a similar situation.

I'm not sure as to the reason for the site reverting but there are many tools on the net that can help you to recover the lost files directly from your hard disk drive,R-Studio is a good one with a free trial, there are also companies that can do it for you:

http://www.abcdatarecovery.co.uk
http://www.ontrack.com

The prices that these companies charge vary so I would suggest doing some research into any before using them.

Glad you got your data back!

HI Guys
I'm a major newbie when it comes to this SQL and PHP stuff, but I am trying hard to get it setup on Leopard....

Everything in the Tutorial is brilliant, but when I get to step 8 and try to start SQL Server, I get the following error:
"""
/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server: line 237: /usr/local/mysql/bin/my_print_defaults: Bad CPU type in executable
/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server: line 240: /usr/local/mysql/bin/my_print_defaults: Bad CPU type in executable
Starting MySQL
/usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server: line 159: kill: (5268) - No such process
ERROR!
"""

Can someone please assist me bearing in mind I have little knowledge of this stuff.
