Tip: Quicksilver Cube Interface
March 17th, 2007
Quicksilver is one of my all-time favorite productivity tools and makes the regular old Finder and Windows metaphors obsolete. Want an app? Type in the first few letters and fire it up. No more clicking around from folder to folder, and no more desktop crowded with icons. In a word, it’s brilliant.
I recently discovered an experimental plugin called “Cube” that makes this great app even cooler. In the Quicksilver toolbar menu, go Quicksilver > Plugins. Select “All Plug-Ins” and check “Cube.” Then select the preferences pane and select Appearance in the left-hand menu. Select the newly added “Cube” from the Command Interface pull-down.
Give it a try.
